Seattle People of Color Salon
On October 1st, 2011, two women, merged their skills and talents to create a safe space to foster support, promote, and facilitate exchange within the people-of-color communities in Seattle. Within 6 months, the SPoCS group had expanded to include a significant network of Seattle's best and brightest. Currently there are over 600 members of SPoCS who meet-up at monthly gatherings held in and around Seattle. Any person who identifies in their daily life as a person-of-color (non-white) is welcome to attend gatherings. We appreciate our white family members, friends and allies and also host events that are open to the public semi-annually.

Many talented photographers have documented our events and gatherings and we are very grateful to Daniel Carrillo, who created the ambrotypes shown on this page at the Northwest African American Museum in Seattle. Question for SPoCS? Please use the contact form here (subject line: SPoCS).
